We are hearing a lot at the moment about environmental issues. There is the plastic issue and then there is the climate change and then there are the issues which we as bee keepers are most aware of.

And that is just a few of the issues we should be on the look out for.
Awareness of these issues - and others- depends on collecting data from as wide an area as possible. It is to help in this process that I have just completed the COLOSS survey for colony loss. It is not a particularly difficult survey but if we all do it then COLOSS will be able to produce far more accurate data. Takes about 15 minutes to complete.
If you are interested in the research that is being done the health of the bee population than the COLOSS site is certainly worth having a look at.
