This was organised by the Dorset County Show Team and is the first time they have held a Spring Show. Our volunteers went up to Kingston Maurward on the Friday to set the tent up and again first thing on the Saturday to put out all the boards and information.
Although the ground was soft and muddy from a lot of rain previously, the weather improved throughout the weekend, especially on the Sunday. Provided you wore wellies and a warm coat, and a woolly hat it was ok.
We gave out a lot of Asian Hornet ID cards and our Honey Tasting always provides a lot of interest. So we had a busy 2 days but well worth it. In addition we made several contacts who were interested in us giving talks to local organisations. This is something we are always prepared to consider. The candle rolling was ever a popular event.
