Thinking about furthering your Beekeeping knowledge? There is no better way than to join the local beekeepers' group and take a course with your local group such as Dorchester and Weymouth Beekeepers Association.
Beginners' Course
The 2026 Beginners' Course has finished now. It ran for six Tuesday evenings at the Colliton Club in Dorchester. Each week there was also be an apiary practical session at the weekend - weather permitting. It proved very popular this year and filled rapidly.
We expect to run a similar course in 2027. If you are interested then I suggest you contact our secretary, Sally, at: dwbkasecretary@gmail.com and register your interest alternatively use Google forms.
If you join the Dorchester and Weymouth Beekeepers then you will be welcome to join our apiary sessions later in the year. There you will be able to see and hear experienced beekeepers inspect and manipulate the hives. Further details can be found here.
